Dr. McNeese received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX. She also completed a residency in Pathology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, TX. Dr. McNeese completed a Surgical Pathology Fellowship and Breast Research Fellowship from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. She is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and dermatopathology.
Prior to joining ReitPath in July 2008, she completed a Dermatopathology Fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
She is a member of several professional organizations including College of American Pathologists, American Medical Association, American Society for Clinical Pathologists and Texas Medical Association.
Dr. McNeese currently serves as Medical Director at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center in Cedar Park, TX.
Dr. Kevin Stancoven received his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center College of Osteopathic Medicine (Fort Worth). He completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Baylor University Medical Center and a cytopathology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as cytopathology.
Dr. Stancoven is a member of several professional organizations including the College of American Pathologists, the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Stancoven currently serves as Medical Director at Cedar Park Regional Emergency Center in Leander, TX.
Dr. Prescilla Wood received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, in 2006. She completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she served as Chief Resident and remained to complete a Hematopathology fellowship. As part of her training, Dr. Wood worked alongside her mentors, learning firsthand many of the intricate clinical details of establishing a new reference laboratory.
Dr. Wood is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic/Clinical Pathology and Hematology. Before joining ReitPath Pathology in 2016, she worked in the North Texas area, where she served as Medical Director of multiple hospital facilities.
Dr. Wood has a unique clinical interest and perspective on patient care, for which she draws from her experience as a Registered Nurse working in the Intensive Care Unit for thirteen years. In addition to being a patient advocate, she focuses on laboratory quality improvement.
At ReitPath Pathology, Dr. Wood serves as the Medical Director of the Laboratory and Director of Point of Care Testing at Ascension Seton Hays, in Kyle, TX, where she also serves on the Medical Executive Committee. She recently served a term as the Chief of Staff at Ascension Seton Hays (2021-2022).
Given her subspecialty, she has a particular interest in plasma cell neoplasms and published the article, “Serum Immunofixation Electrophoresis and Free Light Chain Assays in Detection of Monoclonal Gammopathies" in the Clinical Lymphoma, Myeloma & Leukemia. She also has an interest in molecular studies, providing, not only diagnostic, but prognostic information to better serve Oncology patients and the community.
In her spare time, Dr. Wood enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Aaron Cotrell received his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2007. He completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Arkadi M. Rywlin Department of Pathology, Mount Sinai Medical Center of Miami Beach and a fellowship in Hematopathology at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Royal Oak, Michigan in 2011 and 2012, respectively. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematology.
Dr. Cotrell joined Delta Pathology of Louisiana in 2012 and in addition to surgical pathology served as a hematopathology consultant for over forty pathologists. This included seeing consults throughout the state as well as analyzing flow cytometry samples for the pathology group. While at DELTA, he assisted in the transition from four-color to ten-color flow cytometry including creation of antibody panels and oversight of quality control data. He served as Medical Director of Minden Medical Center Laboratory and chaired the transfusion committee for Willis-Knighton Health System.
Dr. Cotrell joined ReitPath Pathology in 2016 and along with providing surgical pathology and hematopathology services, serves as Medical Director for three plasma donation centers for BPL Plasma. Dr. Cotrell enjoys serving in administrative and leadership roles while continuing to foster his pathology practice with specific interests in hematopathology and flow cytometry.
